Following reports that Taylor Swift is having reservations about Travis Kelce, the NFL star made a sweet gesture to her after throwing a touchdown in a seeming move to dispel rumors of relationship discord.

On Sunday, January 21, Travis celebrated the first Kansas City Chiefs touchdown by making a heart symbol with his hand to Taylor, who was watching from the audience, as she’s been regularly doing at his Chiefs games since debuting their romance in September.

Taylor wasn’t alone. The “Reputation” singer was joined by a host of Travis’ family, including his mom Donna Kelce, father Ed Kelce, brother and fellow NFL star Jason Kelce, and his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce.

The Heart Symbol Has A Special Meaning For Taylor

As Us Weekly points out, Taylor has previously spoken about how symbolic she thinks the heart sign is (she’s known to show it to her fans during performances), giving even more meaning to Travis’ sweet yet simple gesture, which was also accompanied with blown kisses.

“The heart-hand symbol means something between ‘I love you’ and ‘thank you,'” Swift mentioned to The New York Times over a decade ago 2011. “It’s just a sweet, simple message that you can deliver without saying a word.”

“At the end of my sophomore year, I left school and went out on a radio tour to play free show after free show,” the musician continued. “I was an unknown act playing shows night after night, and I was constantly trying out all kinds of different moves to try and get a response from the audience.”

Taylor Is Reportedly Unsure If Things Will Last With Travis

Travis and Taylor haven’t been shy to express their affection for one another publicly, leading to a slew of engagement and pregnancy rumors in recent months. However, they’ve also been the center of allegations of relationship discord.

"They're having a lot of fun, but they're still seeing where it goes," a source told PEOPLE Magazine earlier this month, suggesting Taylor is unsure if things will last in the long-term.

The source’s insight came after Travis experienced backlash for comments he made on his New Heights podcast, where he admitted to wanting to have a “breeder” to start a family with to win back the affection of his mom (as he believes she favors his older brother, since he has kids). Critics said the NFL stars were made in poor taste, and didn’t age well considering he started dating Taylor shortly after.

“To all the breeders out there,” Travis said in the podcast. “I’m gonna find a breeder, and I’m gonna get kids so that mom can love me again.”

There’s also been controversy surrounding Travis’ ex-girlfriend Maya Benberry, who made a public warning to Taylor Swift in an interview with Daily Mail last year. She not only claimed Travis has a history of cheating but said Taylor should be leery of his intentions. Travis and Taylor never publicly responded to Maya’s comments.
