IDK Says He's Ready For Smoke Following "Trippie Redd's Freestyle"

Maryland rapper idk, formerly known as JAY IDK, dropped a video for “Trippie Redd’s Freestyle” on Friday (June 29) in response to the 2018 XXL Freshman Class list snub. In the song, he scoffs of those included on the XXL Freshman cover, which includes Trippie Redd, Lil Pump and Wifisfuneral.

“Now listen this ain’t no dissin’, this ain’t no hate/But keep it real, this is the Freshmen I didn’t make?/In other words, all of you rappers is just steak/When you fallin’ off the bone of them charts, I’m eatin’ your plate,” he spits.

Evidently, idk’s bars didn’t sit too well with some people and theIWASVERYBADMC took to Instagram on Saturday (June 30) to not only clear some things up but also share with his followers that he was ready for any smoke coming his way.

“The other day I dropped a song and made a lot of rappers mad at me,” he wrote in the caption. “just wanted to address this and let people know that even tho I killed that freestyle I ended up pissing off people and respectfully I apologize in advance for saying this… I don’t give a fuck… this is rap and I love you but if you want smoke my pen is ready for whatever.”

Although he told HipHopDX he was “not ready to speak on it” quite yet, he did admit he saw value in the annual list. idk’s fans took care of the perceived oversight and created a special cover just for him. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
