Mark Ruffalo Jokes About Going Nude: Celeb Voting PSA

August 2024 · 2 minute read

So many stars, but only one message. In case you missed it, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Julianne Moore and a slew of other celebs gathered to participate in a voting PSA — titled “IMPORTANT — Save the Day” — taking aim at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

At the beginning of the video — which was released on Wednesday, September 21 — Moore jokes that so many notable names have banded together for this project because the only way to prove that registering to vote is important is by having “just a s–t ton of famous people” repeating the same phrases over and over.

Kidding aside, several of the actors who appear in the clip have some pretty strong messages to share. While they never mention Trump, 70, or his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, it’s pretty clear who this group will be casting their ballots for come November 8.

Cheadle, 51, refers to a “racist, abusive coward who could permanently damage the fabric of our society,” while Martin Sheen adds, “We cannot pretend both sides are equally unfavorable.”

“Do we want to give nuclear weapons to a man whose signature move is firing things?” Broadway’s Leslie Odom Jr. asks.

The star-studded crew ends the video by making a promise: If you vote this year, Ruffalo, 48, will film a nude scene in his next film. While the actor himself seems unsure about taking such a pledge, his costars couldn’t be more thrilled.

“Mark’s gonna have his d–k out!” Downey Jr. enthusiastically tells the camera. Adds a smiling Neil Patrick Harris: “Full Marky!”
