Meghan Nimwiza was crowned Miss Rwanda 2019 in an elegant ceremony held at Intare Conference Arena in Kigali, replacing Lilliane Iradukunda.

A majority of Rwandans were supporting the “outcast” Josiane Mwiseneza to clinch the Miss Rwanda 2019 crown but Ms Nimwiza proved her critics wrong.

Ms Mwisenza is said to have walked several kilometers from her home in Rubengera – Karongi district and on her way stepped on a stone, injuring her leg.

Her story was one picked by the media and twisted so well so she could clinch the crown but she ended being crowned as Miss Popularity, due to her popularity on social media.

Ms Nimwiza walked away with a grand prize of a brand new black Suzuki swift, a monthly Rwf 800, 000 salary, spa vouchers just to mention but a few.

Other goodies include free annual saloon services, sportswear, unlimited internet, garage services and once a week hotel offer among others.
