With the tragic loss of his life, Bianchi became the first Formula One driver to have died by injuries sustained during a Grand Prix since Ayrton Senna in 1994.
In the earlier years of his career, he had won the French Formula Renault 2.0 in 2007 and the Masters of Formula 3 in 2008. In 2009 he won the Formula 3 Euro Series.
