Harry Fraud Talks High Tide, Reveals New EDM Track Down Down

August 2024 · 2 minute read

This week, Harry Fraud brought the wave to hip-hop with his new EP, ‘High Tide.’ The five-track project, in conjunction with Scion A/V, features collaborative raps from the likes of Action Bronson and RiFF RAFF as well as indie king Tech N9ne.

Loosely based on a beach motif, ‘High Tide’ finds the New York producer (and real-life surfer) deviating from the sample-based repertoire he’s built a name on (e.g. French Montana’s “Shot Caller,” Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa’s “Stoner’s Night Part 2”). “It’s fun when you can do projects that live on their own and just take them and do a whole different style. I’m the type of person that I write in all different styles,” he shared with VIBE.

Harry continues to push the sonic envelope and he is gearing up to release a new, EDM-inspired track this summer with DJ Wonder of Shade45. The two collaborated on the spacey rattler “Base” earlier this year and the follow-up, “Down Down” with TrapZillas, is slated next via online release. “It’s about to be summertime and everybody’s about to go out” he prefaces for “Down Down.” “All of my friends are DJs and now I have some fucking, crazy weird music to give them.”

Stay tuned to VIBE for our full Q&A with Harry Fraud.
